MMCE
The Malcolm Moffat College of Education (MMCE) is located outside the Serenje town center, the college enrolls between 120 and 380 students annually (depending on budget and available boarding space). It is operated by the Zambia Christian Council of Churches and has been training teachers since it was established on November 19, 1960.
The MMCE operates on a trimester cycle: January to early April, May to early August, and September to early December, with term breaks between each trimester (click here for the term dates and infomation by year). Selections are made and positions are secured in November providing plenty of time for scholarship winners to make arrangements for the start of classes in January.
